Suffering

How I operationally define suffering:

Any time I am not in control, but consciously or unconsciously desire to be.

  1. Dear Friend whom I hold close to my heart, I will think about this. It is not referring to the source of suffering but the perceived felt-reality which involves, is brought about by, a gap relating to where your awareness is telling you that you are, perhaps a state (and you are surprised by it?), and where you, at a higher consciousness level, would rather be (eg. not bashed around by uncontrolled whatevers).

This is perhaps more difficult to contemplate than the source of suffering, which I would say is a longing. I think of suffering as something that stems from the heart (am I just a romantic?), is not negative, but deeply felt and so a beautiful thing. Humans feel it.

    I will keep thinking 😉
